Photography for me actually became a reality on my third attempt at something to major in at college. I tried the liberal arts thing for a couple of years, then went to school for audio engineering. That was great but the music business is way too weird for me! Go figure... Then after moving from New Jersey to Florida and trying to find an audio job I got a “temporary” job at a camera store processing film. After a couple of years of doing that I followed the ever-so-typical path of buying a camera and shooting weddings for some extra cash. I realized that after about forty or so of those that it was just way too stressful to want to do this full time. So, I decided to go back to school for photography at the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies at Daytona Beach College. That was a great place to learn and I met a lot of really great people there. I got a job teaching photography at The Disney Institute at Walt Disney World and also working for a company called Applied Graphics Technologies doing digital photography conventions and special events on Disney property. Lot’s of great learning experiences there... especially in the early stages of what we would consider professional digital photography.

So, when Disney decided to close the Disney Institute, which was a real shame, I had an opportunity to join the Nikon family and move to Indiana in July of 2000 with my wife, Michelle. So, I’m still there and learning something new everyday. This new world of “blogging” has been real fun to dive into. I find that I actually shoot more and concentrate on what I’m shooting better so I can share it with all of you. It also keeps you busy on an airplane! So, click my blog to view the latest...
