Mud Bog Racing
Wednesday, July 16, 2008
Northern Indiana always continues to fascinate me... especially with stuff that I experience that I never grew up with in New Jersey! Recently I had the opportunity to see Indiana’s finest engage in an activity that lends itself to down and dirty fun and another good excuse to drink beer in public. Just next to Lake Michigan in Michigan City, Indiana we had the summer tradition of mud bog racing. I hadn’t seen this before and it drew quite a crowd. No one that I saw in the couple of hours there ever made it all the way through and they all seemed to get stuck in the same place. So, I really just concentrated on capturing some of the action and having fun taking some pictures for the day. So, here are a few of my favorites...
Any time that you are around Lake Michigan and the weather starts to look like this... move quickly! Although this didn’t turn out to be anything major it did come in pretty fast. I shot this right next to the parking lot on my way out!
Sorry for the lack of posts recently. I have been taking some vacation days and just hadn’t gotten the time to sit down and post some stuff. I have some cool things coming up (except for the Motley Crue show I was supposed to shoot today that fell through... oh, well.) and will be writing more from San Francisco next week.
Until then...
