Whale Watching and Juneau
Wednesday, September 17, 2008
The only shore excursion we decided to do on our Alaskan Voyage was in Juneau and that was a whale watching trip. The weather was pretty crappy when we got there so we were concerned that it wasn’t going to be that great but as we got on the whale watching boat the weather broke and it turned out to be a beautiful day. The boat we were on was designed for just this type of activity and the tour guides were very knowledgeable and very helpful. We saw several humpback whales and a couple of pods of killer whales as well. I shot these with my D90 and 70-300mm VR lens which worked great for this trip...
Even though it was super touristy, Juneau still had some beauty to it. The waterfalls down the mountains were pretty impressive. I still have some more stuff to show you from the other ports as well as the inside of the ship. I’ve been super busy with getting ready for a sales meeting next week so be patient for the updates. I’ll try to keep up with them the best that I can...
Thanks for stopping by...
