Vancouver - Elephant and Castle
Monday, April 20, 2009
This week I’m in Vancouver working on some plans for the Winter Olympics next year and wanted to post something a bit different for you. I have been playing with the recently introduced D5000 camera a bit but I wanted to do something that I felt was really cool with it for all of you. There is a new feature in the Retouch Menu called Color Outline that I think is great for certain images. It takes a picture and makes what looks like a pencil drawing out of it... sometimes it’s really cool and other times it doesn’t really work for that particular image.
Adjacent to our hotel is an English Pub called the Elephant and Castle (which you know would never excite me... ;-) ) and I took some pictures for a few minutes when I checked in today and then some more after dinner tonight as well. It’s a great place and has a lot of character. So, I decided to play a bit with the images and set a bunch to the Color Outline look and thought... “That would be a cool blog post!”.
So, here are some images that tell the story about this pub in a bit of a different way... gotta love technology! Can’t wait to see stuff tomorrow!
Fun stuff, huh? I always love figuring out the best ways to use a new camera feature!
Until next time... “Cheers!”
