I’m not really the biggest sports fan in the world, but this weekend I drove to Detroit to help out with the Nikon Professional Service depot at the NCAA Final Four. I will show you some Final Four stuff in another post and I have to say that it was very exciting and I did have a good time. But, that’s not what I want to share with you here.
On the way from the NW Indiana area to Detroit you drive by a small, picture-esque town named Marshall, Michigan. I had been here once before with my wife Michelle. It’s a short side trip off of Hwy 94 about half way to Detroit. It’s got a nice, historic downtown area and a great restaurant called Schuler’s... where I’m sitting right now having lunch on the way back from Detroit. If you are ever driving past this area take the short side trip and at least drive through this small town. I only had about twenty minutes to spend here so I took some pictures and then continued on my way.
You just have to love GPS... Here’s where Marshall is and where I took all of my photos in that twenty minutes that I was there. Like I said before I’m writing this while sitting at the bar above (in the seat on the right side of the frame... not that it really matters!)
These images were all taken with a Nikon D90, 16-85mmVR lens and a GP-1 GPS unit. Final Four stuff coming... See you next time! - Main Blog Page
What a great town. I just love the hardware store with the wheel barrows outside...
